Board of Directors
GAATES’ activities are overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors who are committed to ensuring that GAATES is able to continue being a leader in fields of Universal Design and accessibility, and implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD); and to contribute to positive development for persons with disabilities.

Country Representatives
GAATES is working with a number of Country Representatives from around the world to promote the implementation and monitoring of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities; civil society contributions related to the Global Development Agenda Post 2015 and sustainable development of the built and virtual environments based on the principles of Universal Design. GAATES Country Representatives are volunteers who are committed to help achieve the mission and goals of GAATES in their country.

GAATES Award Winners
GAATES annual award of recognition is determined by the Board of Directors and presented to individuals or organizations in recognition of their dedication to Universal Design, accessibility and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
